Graduate Encourager Caller
What is a Graduate Encourager Caller (GEC)?
Every graduate is part of the WorkFaith family. As a GEC, you stay in touch with our graduates through phone calls as they face a variety of transitions, obstacles, and successes. You will have an opportunity to offer support, encouragement, and resources. This opportunity includes light data entry. Specific training will be required in order to participate.
When is it?Flexible scheduling.
What is the minimum preferred time commitment?4-6 hours per month.
Additional informationIndividual volunteer opportunity; ongoing volunteer need; requires a smart phone with the ability to download an application to make call through (you will not share your personal phone number).

Advisor
What is an Application Advisor?
As an Application Advisor, you will proofread, review, and edit the participant's first draft of their application. Using the Application Feedback Form and the specific points presented in the training, you will advise what corrections need to be implemented for our clients to create a "pristine" application. This role is suited for individual volunteers who possess great literacy skills, attention to detail, and the ability to give constructive advice in a clear, concise, and gracious manner. Specific training will be required in order to participate.
When is it?
Flexible scheduling, times will vary.
What is the minimum preferred time commitment?
1-2 times per month.

Mentor
As a mentor, you will provide a WorkFaith mentee with ongoing support, wisdom, and guidance. In this role, you will have the chance to offer professional insight from your field of work, as well as spiritual counsel. A suggested training guide will be provided.
Various times, determined by the mentor and mentee’s schedule.

What is a Prayer Partner?
Serving as a Prayer Partner is an opportunity to educate, inform, and inspire people about the powerful work the Lord is doing in the lives of countless job seekers. As a Prayer Partner, you will have the opportunity to learn about the disadvantages our clients face when job searching, hear graduate testimonies, and spend time in prayer for WorkFaith.
When is it?Select Tuesday evenings, 6:30-7:30pm CST.
Additional InformationSuited for individual volunteers and for those wanting to volunteer as a group; this is a one-time or recurring volunteer opportunity; held on Zoom.

Interviewer
What is Practice Interviewing?
In this role, you will conduct interviews for clients currently enrolled in our Job Search Accelerator or those who have completed our courses and are going through the job search. You will help participants practice answering difficult interview questions and providing feedback after each question. Serving in this capacity will give you the opportunity to instill hope and confidence in countless job seekers.
When is it?Select Thursday afternoons.
Additional informationBest suited for individual volunteers; ongoing volunteer need; specific training will be required in order to participate; held on Zoom (computer required with audio/video capability).

Igniter
How do you volunteer as a Graduation Igniter?
As a Graduation Igniter, you will celebrate students who successfully completed Job Search Accelerator! By attending Graduation, you have the opportunity to cheer on individuals as they launch into job search and begin a new chapter of life.
When is it?
Select Friday afternoons.

Suited for individual volunteers and for those wanting to volunteer as a group; this is a one-time or recurring volunteer opportunity; currently held on Zoom.
Blog Contributor
As a Blog Contributor, you will contribute to WorkFaith’s Career Advice Blog. Articles are at least 1,000 words, and they focus on career advice and tips. You are encouraged to include faith and scripture in the articles, but it is not required.
At the beginning of each month, you will be sent an Editorial Calendar with the list of topics to choose from or you can choose your own topic of choice. You will have 14 days to complete your article from when the Editorial Calendar is sent out.

If you are under the age of 18, you must be accompanied by an adult.Do you offer virtual volunteer opportunities?
Yes! Virtual opportunities keep everyone safe and it gives you the freedom to serve WorkFaith, no matter where you live!How often do I need to volunteer or is there a requirement for frequency of volunteering?
You are welcome to volunteer as often as you are able. There is no requirement for frequency.Can I volunteer with my small group?
Yes! We love it when groups volunteer together. Please contact us with your group size and we will find an appropriate opportunity for your group size.Will I receive training before I start my volunteer opportunity?
All volunteers start with online onboarding and then receive training for their specific role. We want to make sure you are equipped and feel confident before diving into volunteering!*No training is required for Graduation or Prayer Walks
