When men and women return to work, many things happen: poverty is alleviated, families are provided for, employed individuals’ need for government assistance is lessened and, for those with criminal backgrounds, recidivism is greatly reduced. But above all, work fosters dignity among communities. Due to employment, transformed men and women become providers, tax payers, and role models in their homes, communities, and cities.
