Meet Our Volunteer: Alfredo Alberto

Meet our volunteer, Alfredo Alberto! Alfredo joined the WorkFaith volunteer family in 2020. He is now a Volunteer Ambassador and has served in various volunteer roles: Practice Interviewer, Virtual Prayer Experience, Graduation Igniter, and more. He is a Family and Community Health Extension Agent for Prairie View A&M University’s Cooperative Extension Program. In this role, he provides programing on Fatherhood/Parenting, Financial Literacy, and Character Development. After more than 15 years in his field, Alfredo has gained a wealth of knowledge, as well as a depth of love and compassion for his community. Alfredo believes Charles Spurgeon said it best: “The way to do a great deal is to keep on doing a little. The way to do nothing at all is to be continually resolving that you will do everything.”

What a WorkFaith staff member had to say about Alfredo:
I met former JSA participant Alfredo when he volunteered to distribute bottled water at WorkFaith after the February freeze. We chatted briefly about what he did professionally. That is when I learned that he sometimes taught students at Carl Wunsche Sr. High, a career academy high school. Because of Alfredo’s connections and heart of servitude, we have trained over 50 students at Wuensche High, and we are currently working with them to partner in an even bigger way in the fall!”
